What to Expect

You will be welcomed and  given your service book and hymnbook. You can then sit anywhere you feel comfortable. Generally, the service follows the printed order, with the congregation joining in the the parts in bold type. 

If it's a communion service, the stewards normally direct the congregation  to go forward to the altar and, once there, you can either receive the sacraments (if you are a communicant member elsewhere or are a confirmed member of the Church of England) or you can take the service book with you as a sign that you would like a blessing.

After the service, if you would like, there will be opportunities to speak to the clergy as you leave the church or you will be more than welcome to join us for refreshments in the Undercroft - just follow the crowd!
